About Tamagana

We are making language learning feel more like reading.

Tamagana is built for people who want to learn by spending time with the language itself. Open a text, tap what you do not know, and keep reading while new words become familiar in context.

Practice should stay close to use.

Most learners know the feeling of recognizing a word in a lesson and losing it in a real sentence. Tamagana focuses on that gap: the moment where vocabulary needs to become usable while you are reading.

That idea is close to Stephen Krashen's input hypothesis: learners grow when they spend time with meaningful language they can mostly understand, with just enough support to keep going.

The science is simple enough to build around: repeated exposure, context, and comprehensible input make vocabulary easier to remember than isolated memorisation. We keep the interface quiet so the text stays central.
